4Help is Your First Stop for Support
4Help and answers.vt.edu increased their support by being the primary contact for all OCS-related support questions at Virginia Tech.  This includes all services covered by Online Course Systems -- Blackboard, Scholar, ePortfolio, CourseEval, DyKnow, Courseware, ElementK, or iTunesU. We are asking all faculty, students, and staff with questions about these services to direct their questions through 4Help.  They can be accessed at 231-HELP (231-4357) or http://www.4help.vt.edu; Online Course Systems continues to work with 4Help and answers.vt.edu to ensure consistent, quality support for the educational technologies we support. 

Software Support

Online Course Systems supports course management systems/tools at Virginia Tech. We have developed an extensive resource area for each system we support. Learn more about our support levels. Blackboard is Virginia Tech's primary web-based course management system.

Course Evaluation is a web-based system to facilitate online, confidential course evaluations.

Courseware is a web-based file sharing service designed to allow faculty to store their course materials.

ePortfolio is a powerful way to document your growth over time. It provides tools that let you think about your learning and your career in broader contexts of family, career, culture, experience, etc...

Scholar, Virginia Tech's implementation of Sakai, is an open-source collaboration tool designed for resource sharing and communication. It also has course management functionality.
