Flashlight Online

The Flashlight Online tool allows instructors to select pre-defined survey items from the Flashlight Current Student Inventory (CSI) (a database of 500 items that can be used in student surveys, interviews, or focus groups).

Instructors can utilize Flashlight Online to develop course-specific surveys related to educational uses of technology, post surveys on the Web for student access, and retrieve basic data corresponding to student responses. Groups of faculty teaching similar courses can co-author and distribute shared surveys. Educational Technologies funds a site license for faculty to employ Flashlight Online at Virginia Tech. Survey.vt.edu

Virginia Tech now offers Survey.vt.edu, a new Web-based survey tool. It is available for use to every V.T. faculty, staff, and student, at: http://survey.vt.edu/

The tool can be used to create online surveys, sweepstakes, Web site feedback forms, etc. Since the edit module of SurveyMaker uses advanced HTML features, WARD recommends the use of a current browser like IE 5.5+ or Netscape 6.1+. However, the resulting surveys should work fine across all Web browsers.
