|
Light is a visual phenomenon. It must be present in order to experience the world through our sense of sight. For artists, light is also a design tool. In this lesson we will begin by defining light (and its opposite dark) and then discussing five terms used to describe aspects of light and dark as they apply to works of art. We will then examine some ways artists manipulate and arrange light and dark. |
