User Specifications

Monitor/Screen Size: This tutorial is best viewed on a monitor with a screen size of 1024x768. If your monitor is unable to display this screen size, we have designed the web pages to be viewable on monitors with a minimum screen size of 800x600. Smaller screen sizes can still view the tutorial, but may have to "scroll" to see the content.
Browser/Version: If using a Macintosh, we recommend the use of Netscape 4.5 or 4.7. Netscape 6 for the Macintosh is incompatible with this program, and Internet Explorer may crash your Macintosh when using this program. If using a Windows PC computer, both Netscape 4.5/4.7 and Internet Explorer 5+ will work, but we recommend Internet Explorer to avoid a bug that causes pop-up images to display behind the Netscape browser window.
Netscape 6 for the PC is incompatible with this program. Note, when using Internet Explorer, if the fonts on the browser seem too large or do not fit within the visible window, try clicking "View" on the menu bar, dragging down to "Text Zoom" and reducing the screen size to 90%.
Connection Speed: The graphics and photographs displayed in this program are large to very large in file size. Thus, a high-speed Internet connection is recommended to use this tutorial (e.g., on-campus lab, DSL, cable modem, etc.).
